eat@galianoinn is the perfect venue for your perfect day. We are happy to host intimate weddings and casual receptions to sophisticated and elegant multi-course dinners.Our restaurant manager manager will assist in providing you with details in regards to all your food and beverage options.
We are an intimate boutique resort and we will work with you personally to create a memorable wedding day for both you and all your family and friends.
As you begin to search for a venue to host one of the most significant days of your life, you will naturally have many questions and some uncertainties. After your first meeting with us, you and your family will leave with your questions answered and any apprehension will fade away. Our experienced managers quickly make guests feel confident in their ability to create the perfect day. We host many weddings every season and each is truly special and unique in it's own way. We will offer advise and insight on everything from timing of your ceremony to choosing the wine and helping you tailor your menu. At the end of the first visit, we will be able to provide you a quote to give you an idea of expected food and beverage costs.
Your wedding quote will be based on many factors, We will assess each carefully during our initial meeting. You can relax and enjoy the days leading up to your wedding day while being assured that your quote will be a very close reflection of the final cost.
Duding our meeting, we will discuss dinner options, canape selection to follow the ceremony, wine options, champagne selection and bar preferences.
Many fine small hotels and resorts tend to limit dinner selections to a fixed menu for any parties exceeding 10 guests. However, we are happy to provide up to three entree choices per guest although we do require the same appetizers and desserts for groups of 15 or more.

We often host a casual morning-after buffet style breakfast for all wedding attendees. We have found this to be a nice way to say good bye as your new larger family leaves for the ferry.

The Food and Wine Philosophy
Our Chef is dedicated to his on going relationship with local fisherman, organic farmers and foragers. We are blessed in the Gulf Islands to be surrounded with the abundance of fresh grown produce, free range livestock and artisan cheeses. Our menus change frequently to best reflect our four-season climate.Our Sommelier will speak with you and help you choose the perfect wines to compliment your dinner, your palate and your budget. We have a extensive selection of both local and international wines to choose from.

Bar Service
We understand wedding liquor consumption often brings a level of uncertainty. To help the wedding couple host an enjoyable event while controlling costs, our restaurant manager can provide periodic updates on consumption through your event. We have found this to be a very reassuring service for the wedding party. Particularly, for multiple day events; this can include a casual Friday night family get-together champagne receptions, wine service through dinner and an open bar during dancing.
We typically limit the open bar to non-premium high balls, two types of beer (lager & ale) and the same wine that was poured throughout dinner. If your guests would prefer a premium selection of wine or spirits from the bar, the option is available for them to purchase the beverage personally. This will ensure the provided quote remains accurate and keeps your bar charges to a manageable amount.
The Guidelines
Although we always try to entertain requests of our guests, we have some general guidelines that will ensure quality and elegance of service through the duration of your wedding.We require all appetizers to be of a fixed nature for groups of 15 or more. Entree selections must be received to the restaurant manager a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. The provided seating arrangement will indicate to the restaurant staff where each item will be placed. This lay-out must be received by the restaurant manager a minimum of one week prior to the event. We do not offer cash bars or split bills during events. All beverages are charged on a consumption basis and will be added to the final bill.
St. Margaret's Church Ceremonies
Galiano Island has a beautiful heritage church, St. Margaret's of Scotland. Truly a Community Church, St. Margaret's is a church in the Anglican tradition, but is also welcoming of all who would want to celebrate their union, in whatever their faith. The congregation will arrange for music and flowers to make your day special. A "smile" for the bridal party's guests.... the church welcomes the use of confetti: "It is a part of weddings, isn't it?"Honeymoons & Romance
