The famous Kunamokst Mural is located in the entrance to the Galiano Oceanfront Inn and Spa. You are able to view it at any time, and you can purchase limited edition prints of the Mural as a very special momento of your visit to this arts-filled island.Vintages Wine and Beer Shop
Located on the grounds of the Inn, Vintages has an extensive selection of truly hand-crafted wines: offerings from small wine-makers that are making their mark on the British Columbia wine scene. Take home an island wine as the perfect remembrance (or gift) of your Gulf Island visit. Also for your enjoyment, there is a selection of interesting beers especially made for summer sipping.
Gift shops
Galiano is a small, rural island known mostly for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. Do not expect shopping malls or movie theatres or traffic. But you can find several small shops with unique arts and crafts, many are just walking distance from the Inn: such as the Spa Gift shop at the Inn, Art and Soul Craft Gallery, and the Twirly Tree. Or, in touring the island, you can discover some other shops and studios scattered throughout the island, ones like Ixchel Gifts, Insight Gallery, Twirly Tree by the Sea.

Also on the grounds of the Inn, you can find a selection of spa products, candles and gift items. Galiano Island Books
Just next door, Galiano Island books is known as the ‘best little bookstore’ anywhere…with over 10,000 titles to browse, you are sure to find a number of titles to enjoy on a reader’s retreat at the Inn, or to enjoy at home. Well-known Galiano resident authors such as Jane Rule and Audrey Thomas are a popular choice. Special readings by authors occur regularly.
The Galiano Inn, Galiano Art Gallery, Insight Gallery, Stone World
At the Galiano Inn itself, you will find many individual works of art for sale by the Galiano artists of the Kunamokst Mural, and jewelery designs by Silver Moon. Nearby, and featuring many of the best island artists as well as emerging west coast talent, Art & Soul Art & Craft Gallery and the Galiano Art Gallery, are just a five minute walk from the Inn, along with other island shops. Insight Gallery is a short drive away, and Stone World Gallery is high on Bodega Ridge on the north end of the island.
Artists and Artisans
Many artists have chosen Galiano as their home and source of inspiration. While displayed in galleries across Canada and in private collections everywhere, they are also displayed and available for sale in the artists’ studios here on the island: Marcia DeVicque Glassworks, Bill Boyd Pottery, Sandra Dolph at Cedar Grove Pottery, Annette Shaw are just a few of the many fine artists and crafts people with studios. You can enjoy the artists without even leaving the Inn…the works of Marcia DeVicque are displayed and offered for sale; and Tara Gill’s works displayed on the walls are exclusive to the Inn. Henny Schnarre photographs are sold as cards in our Spa gift shop.
