As an island retreat that offers rest, rejuvenation and replenishment deeply rooted in Natural environment, Galiano Oceanfront Inn & Spa, British Columbia, Canada both the power of our natural environment and in the provision of ultimate luxury, we recognize the importance of careful conservation and judicious use of natural resources.

Our commitment to stewardship and environmental responsibility is demonstrated in the construction and maintenance of our resort, our thoughtful and responsible operations, and in our active community involvement.

On purchasing this beautiful piece of paradise a few years ago, the owners made a covenant with the land. They cleaned the property of buried debris, cleared abandoned wells and created beautiful spaces... demonstrating by action and hard work a commitment to making the property the “Jewel of the Gulf Islands”.

All new landscaping and building has been done to shape an intensely romantic and beautiful retreat, all the while keeping the environment and sustainability foremost in mind.

In the philosophy of the Inn and Spa retreat, there is a commitment to treatments using the healing power of water on an island resort that is itself surrounded by water, but one where water resources must be carefully respected and conserved. In every aspect of its business, the Galliano Oceanfront Inn and Spa must consider, and does consider, water conservation and the environment.

Our accommodations offer in-room amenities that add delicious luxury yet reduce our impact on the environment. We provide guests with the delight of European lavender olive oil liquid hand-soap as an option to extra bar soap at the sink; instead of disposable paConservational Practices, Galiano Island, BCckages of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, we have installed dispensers of high quality products.
