eat@galianoinn
We are blessed with an abundance of local fish, produce, poultry and artisan cheeses here in the Gulf Islands. We also enjoy four growing seasons where local products can be sourced anytime of year.
Wine and Food have always evolved together, while complementing each other each other as the worlds classic wine regions attest. The New World is no different as we happily watch the evolution of our local wine and food industry. eat@galianoinn's west coast menu is a reflection of the place we live. Full-bodied reds that ripen under a warm Okanagan sun pair delightfully with Salt Spring Lamb. Pacific Salmon enjoyed with an Island grown Alderlea Pinot Noir is a testament to the powerful illustration of how regional wines complement foods produced under the same climatic conditions.
The restaurant's fine reputation has been enhanced under the culinary direction of Chef Dean Hillier and Restaurant Manager/ Sommelier, Richard Massey.
True Flavours of the Pacific Coast
Our west coast cuisine is a reflection of the place we live. The fresh, vibrant flavours of the Pacific Northwest are showcased nightly in eat@galianoinn's ocean front dining room. The Ambiance
Elegant and romantic, our oceanfront restaurant has invited the natural beauty of this jewel of the Gulf Islands indoors.Galiano's only oceanfront fine dining is a memorable experience, not only for the fabulous food and wine, but for the ambiance of the setting. Windows and more windows in the atrium restaurant offer diners views of the sunset glow on Mount Baker, the moon rising over Mayne Island and whales passing through Active Pass: the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner.
Melding the beauty of nature together with modern design and old world features has created a space that inspires and delights. Expansive wood floors, open beam ceilings, large stone fireplaces, and wrought iron accents provide both warmth and opulence. An extensive art collection of First Nations art brings together the new world with the old. There is attention to detail and craftsmanship evident throughout. The restaurant features an architecturally stunning atrium-style dining floor with a seven-point ceiling and massive windows to fully enjoy the views of the ever-changing expanse of ocean dancing beyond the beach, lawns and gardens of the Inn.
