Minutes by scheduled floatplane service from Vancouver airport and Downtown Vancouver. Guests arriving by floatplane or private boat can be picked up by prior arrangement.
Or just one hour by car and passenger ferry from the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. The Galiano Oceanfront Inn and Spa is walking distance from the ferry, so you may choose to leave your car and cares behind.

Ferries depart from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, just south of Vancouver on the mainland. From Vancouver Island, travelers take the Gulf Island Ferry from Swartz Bay.
We encourage you to always make ferry reservations (there is no additional booking charge to reserve to Galiano, beyond your ferry costs) or float plane reservations in advance, particularly in our busy season and on weekends.

Island Travel
The Inn is the only resort in the Gulf Islands that is within walking distance of the ferry, as well as all of the little shops and galleries in the village.
Transportation within Galiano Island is easy and fun: - rent a Smart Car from the Inn, available to Inn guests and owners only - rent a bicycle; arrangements are within walking distance - rent a moped; if you tell them you are staying at the Inn, they will pick you up - NEW! For the Summer of 2009, you can take the Daytripper shuttle, with pickup on our Madrona Drive and drop off and pick up at the Marina - Of course, visiting an island resort, you will want to be on the water: you can try kayaking, rent a small boat, or take part in an wildlife eco-excursion.
