Under the direction of our Spa Manager, Linda Epstein, a very special programme has been developed for you. Experienced yoga teachers, Trisha Wilson will lead you in Anusara-inspired TM and Ashtanga Yoga; and Drea Onofrio will provide instruction in Vinyasa Yoga. Luannah Livermore will provide you with a guided meditation session using healing crystal bowls.
Your Retreat Teachers
Trisha Wilson
A former dancer and dedicated yogini of over ten years, Trisha Wilson finds delight in the balance between strength and surrender. Both on and off the yoga mat, Trisha invites the flow of grace.
Trisha received her teaching certificate from Mary-Jo Fetterly and Jennifer Steed of Trinity Yoga, later joining their team to assist and co-facilitate training throughout Western Canada. Drawn to India on multiple occasions Trisha furthered her studies of Philosophy, meditation and yoga therapy at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandarim.
A certified Anusara-inspried TM yoga teacher Trisha’s classes explore technique and alignment and celebrate heart and spirit. She currently lives and teaches in Vancouver, BC.
Andrea Onofrio
Drea has been practicing Yoga for over 15 years. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training at the Byron Yoga Centre in Australia which focuses on the 8 limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga) Drea's classes can be described as a Dynamic Vinyasa flow which incorporates breath work, sequencing, meditation and Asana (posture). She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and believes everyone can do yoga (even her 88 year old grandma). She encourages students to take a joyful approach to yoga (and to life). She brings a light heartedness to her classes which are challenging but also nurturing. Her current interest is Yoga Therapy which works in a restorative way to help the body heal itself. Drea is certified and registered with Yoga Alliance.
Linda Epstein
Linda began her magical yoga journey at the tender age of 11. By the time she turned 16, she had joined a yoga ashram and taken spiritual initiation, immersing herself in the study of Bhakti Yoga. She continued with her hatha yoga practice throughout the years. Her spiritual quest has taken her to India 14 times, where she visited various temples and ashrams. In 1999, Linda took her formal yoga training certification at Still Point Yoga Center in Belleville, Ontario. Linda has been teaching yoga ever since and has taught numerous yoga enthusiasts intense teacher training.She has developed her own style of yoga therapy blended with a combination of the Shivananda and Kripalu teachings.Linda is also an Ayurvedic Consulant and was tutored under a handful of world renowned Ayurvedic Medical doctors from India. In 1999 she opened the first Ayurvedic Spa in Canada. Linda intuitively teaches meditation and yoga from the heart to deepen one’s own inner awareness and spirituality. She is now the Spa Manager at the Madrona del Mar Spa at the Galiano Inn.
Luannah Livermore
Luannah brings to her meditation, the experience gained from the many healing practices she has learned in Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, Israel, Costa Rica and Canada.
From meditation, massage, aromatherapy and yoga to energy and sound healing, authentic movement, and Native dance, Luannah creates a special experience. She draws from the meditation technique learned from the enlightened master Dahyan Vimal from Malaysia. Luannah is a self taught flutist and has produced a CD, “Reunited: The Journey Home’’ She offers workshops in native drum making, releasing your sacred voice and expressional movement. Luannah uses her intuition and sensitivity to help empower others to restore their own true essence. Luannah has had her own practice for the past nine years in Vancouver.

Because of the limited number of people that will be accepted for the retreat, reservations should be made as much in advance as possible. It is advisable to book your travel arrangements, either via ferry or floatplane, at the time of booking your retreat.
Details of your retreat package:
- two nights oceanfront accommodation (shared or single) - all yoga and meditation classes - two vegetarian breakfasts (coffee/tea, juice, fresh baking and entree) - two vegetarian dinners, with tea/coffee
Not included in your package: - other beverages of your choice (wine, beer, etc) at dinner are available at an additional cost - fish and meat options are available at an additional cost of $10 per dinner- lunch is available both Saturday and Sunday at an additional cost of $15 per person - a full range of spa treatments are available, with a discount of 10% for retreat guests
Diet and Health
Please advise us in advance of any dietary concerns. With sufficient advance notice, it is our pleasure to accommodate dietary restrictions. If you have health concerns regarding the yoga sessions, our Spa Manager will be pleased to speak with you: rest assured that we work with people of all fitness and levels. Regardless of your experience with yoga, you will be enriched by the experience.
Deposit/Cancellation Policy
We require a deposit payment of 50% of the retreat cost to confirm a reservation. As an island resort, last minute cancellations do impact us considerably and, consequently, we are happy to refund your deposit (less a $25 administration fee for each person booked) only if cancellations are made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
If you should need to check out before the last day of your reservation, there is no refund possible.
If you book spa treatments, please refer to the Madrona del Mar Spa Cancellation policy and ensure that any changes to your chosen spa treatments or times are made in advance, to avoid any charges.
